We will be getting together a team to detail our vehicles.  Our vehicles are often the first impression that our fine unit makes.  Please join us at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 28 2009 (event rescheduled due to Wounded Warrior Parade on the 30th and now postponed until soon!- Check here for details.) to wash and detail the exterior and interior of each vehicle.  As always, a pizza lunch will be served.  Feel free to bring a family member (of all ages!) or a friend!

Due to the increased summer activities and events through our great city, the Long Beach Auxiliary Police will commence Summer Saturday patrols on June 6, 2009.

The Thursday night patrol will begin on that night and all the following Saturdays will be covered by the patrol nights in sequence.  Please make sure that you check the Summer Sunday Patrol schedule located in the page link in the upper left of this web page!  If you are not available for your scheduled patrol, alert your patrol command as soon as possible and see if you can help out on another Saturday.

All uniformed and probationary officers are urged to attend the general meeting.  The very busy summer season if fast approaching and it will be important for us to go over the upcoming events and officer trainings.  The meeting will sharp promptly at 11:00 AM and will end with lunch.  This is a plain-clothes event.  If you will not attend, you must notify your Sergeant.

A lot of important information was conveyed and the upcoming events were discussed.

We had the honor of recognizing two of our officers whose diligent observations, textbook response and effective communication with the Long Beach Police Department regarding suspicious activities led to a successful arrest.  Both officers received Meritorious Conduct awards concurrently recommended by the officers of the Long Beach Police Department and the officers of the Long Beach Auxiliary Police.

The Long Beach Auxiliary Police have been invited by Nassau County to participate in their Gang Awareness Training.  The training will be held at Nassau University Medical Center on Monday, November 17^th at 7pm.

We had a very strong showing for this important and unique training.  Our deepest appreciation to Nassau County for generously offering us 20 seats at this training event.
