The annual St. Mary of the Isle International Festival will be held from Thursday evening through Sunday evening. The Church is located at 315 East Walnut Street Long Beach, NY 11561. This is a fun event with amusement park rides, carnival booths, games of luck, events and entertainment for the entire family and many delicious international delights to dine on.

Concerts are held every Monday,Wednesday and Thursday, and begin at 8:00pm unless otherwise noted.

The annual Town of Hempstead fireworks at Lido Beach will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2009. Because
the Loop Parkway is closed for the end of this major event, a massive amount of traffic will be passing through Long Beach as soon as the fireworks end.
All officers will be needed. Please sign up on the Duty Board if available.
One of the busiest traffic events of the year, the Auxiliary Police assist in getting many thousands of cars from Point Lookout and Lido Beach through Long Beach and across the bridge in the middle of the night. As in the past, the traffic signals were controlled to favor west bound traffic down Park Avenue. Given the volume of cars and motorcycles (and some weary motorists), the Town of Hempstead Fireworks event really shows the value of our training and traffic assignments throughout the rest of the year.
